Peep Diorama Contest 2011

This post doesn’t fit into the normal topics of technology and music education–it summarizes what has become a favorite activity of mine at Easter, the creation of Peep dioramas.

A few days ago, I shared the dioramas that were created by my choir students in 2010. We had seven entries this year, not counting my own. Here are the various entries:

Peep Jersey Shore:

Peepsachu! (Made of 52 Peeps):

Peeps Plastic Surgery:

House of Gaga, Peep Edition (Outfits worn by Lady Gaga):

Harry Peeper (Like Harry Potter):

Peeps on Broadway (Detailed pictures follow):

Scenes from “Singing in the Rain” and “Shrek”…

And “Wicked” and “Purple Rain”…

And “West Side Story”

And “Spiderman”

“Mary Poppins”

And the Audience…

The Winner of our Peeps Contest was “HaPEEPly Ever After”:

The students did use a “pre-fab” Fisher-Price castle, but put a lot of work into the display…and had another student narrate the story. I made a short video of the diorama with the audio, which appears below the pictures.

Rapunzel…

Cinderella…

Snow White and the Seven Dwarves…

Grandmother Willow and Pocahontas…

The Little Mermaid…

Aladdin…

Shrek…

And my entry for the year, “iPeep Nano”:

By the way, here’s what it takes to win the St. Paul Pioneer Press Peep Diorama Contest (The Great MN Peep Together (Minnesota State Fair):
