This evening, TUAW (The Unofficial Apple Weblog, an AOL Company) ran an article about a gentleman who built a kit to stream HDMI wirelessly to his TV. The video that the article featured appears later in this post (YouTube).
This brought up a thought: Whoever boxes this package together so it looks nice and comes with a battery that will last an entire school day is going to make a lot of money.
Then I realized: AirPlay could do this NOW, with an AirPlay (Video) receiver to HDMI or VGA. The extra box shouldn’t be necessary.
Perhaps full wireless mirroring will come with iOS 5 this summer. Full wireless mirroring will revolutionize education and kill an entire industry (Interactive White Boards).
