Saving FLV Video Files for Windows-Based SMART Notebook Presentations
At my SMART Board presentation at the MMEA Convention, I discussed how you can save any YouTube video with the free online service, keepvid.com. Remember that FLV files only play nice with Windows PCs.
At the convention, one of my fellow MMEA members, Lance Otto, mentioned that there is a Firefox plug-in that will also allow you to save a You Tube file as an FLV:
This, of course, requires that your district gives you access to YouTube, or even access to Firefox (My district allows access to YouTube to staff during the day and to everyone before/after school, but Firefox is not “approved” software, even though services like Moodle recommend it. We’re Internet Explorer only!).
Thank you, Lance, for the tip!
